R.I.P. Trish Keenan, Broadcast

Photo by Gail O'Hara from her flickr page

What a sad day for the music world. The singer of the british psychedelic band Broadcast has passed through the veil, allegedly from complications stemming from H1N1. The music of Broadcast has always been forward thinking and exciting, but Keenan's lyrics are what really made it for me. She was one of the most poetic songwriters I've ever heard, while managing to retain masterful control of tune and songcraft. Oh, heaviest of sighs.

Oh my God, I had no idea! This is tragic. Thank you for introducing me to Broadcast, Rob. They are one of my favorite bands of all time.
